Online and in email, Flavorpill publishes a range of cultural guides that cover books, world news, fashion, and art. When we collaborated with them on a full site redesign in 2005, Flavorpill wanted to unify its online presence and dynamically integrate the content with its back-end database, presenting the editorial in a more cohesive way while still acknowledging the unique personality of each publication.
To help Flavorpill transition to a richer web presence, we designed a modular site that presents the breadth of their content within a clear and simple interface, anchoring the user within the publication of their choice while offering them curated slices of content from other pubs that might interest them. And to lend the site a signature visual dynamism, we coded it with CSS style sheets so that the colors and style of each publication can change to match its brand.

What's a ground wave, anyway?
A ground wave is one of the most resilient and reliable forms of communication. A low-frequency wave running along the contour of the earth, a ground wave's path is informed by the topography of the environment over which it travels while maintaining the integrity of the information it carries. At Groundwave Design Corp, we believe the design process must take a similar route.
